What is MAGIX Music Maker

MAGIX Music Maker MX Production Suite is a complete production studio that allows you to record, edit and create professional music and audio tracks on your computer.

This suite includes a range of tools that any musician, producer, audio engineer or hobbyist can use to develop high quality music. As with any production suite, it includes a track editor where you can record and edit multiple MIDI tracks. A pattern recorder lets you record and loop background percussion with an extensive set of musical samples, including percussion, strings, bass, keyboards and sound effects. The lead synthesizer has a wide range of settings, and many other editing tools let you create just the sound you are looking for. Oscillators, filters, amps, mixers and LFOs are some of the tools that let you modify your recordings.

The program also allows you to record and edit directly onto a MIDI track from an external instrument or microphone. Drag-and-drop functionality lets you drag from explorer directly onto the screen, and Music Maker will import the track information automatically. With such a wide range of features and over 10,000 samples, there is not much to complain about.

Since the production suite is capable of professional-grade production, its interface and toolbox may be unfamiliar to those who have never worked with such a program. The learning curve may intimidate beginners, so it is best to have at least some knowledge of industry tools beforehand, or be willing to study up. However, musicians with a passion will be able to surmount this and even take home recordings and make them ready for broadcast.
